How to move around in a worksheet | Microsoft Excel Simulator

Let’s learn how to move around in a worksheet! Currently, the selected cell is A1.
First, please click on cell C3. (This is the cell that contains the word “Excel”)
Excellent! Did you see how Microsoft Excel now selected cell C3? You can know that it is the selected cell using one of the 3 ways. Please press on the NEXT button to continue
1- Look at the green box surrounding the cell. 2- Look how C3 is written in the Name Box.
3- Look how Row 3 and Column C are now selected. Please press on NEXT to continue
Now, let’s try to move the selection up. From your keyboard or from the button on the screen, please press on the arrow UP button.
Excellent! Now, Microsoft Excel selected the adjacent cell above it.
Now, from your keyboard or from the button on the screen, please press on the TAB button.
Look how Microsoft Excel selected the cell that is one column to the right.
Now, from your keyboard or from the buttons on the screen, press on SHIFT + TAB
Have you seen how Microsoft Excel selected the cell that is one column to the left?
Now, from your keyboard or from the buttons on the screen, press on CTRL + HOME
Look how Microsoft Excel selected cell A1.
Now, from your keyboard or from the buttons on the screen, press on CTRL + END
If you can notice, Microsoft Excel selected the cell at the intersection of the last row and last column of data. Now, please press on the scroll arrow DOWN
Did you notice how Microsoft Excel moved the view of the worksheet one row down. This does not change the active cell. Now, click in the SCROLLBAR
Now, Microsoft Excel moved the view of the workbook one screen down. Now, try to drag the SCROLL BOX towards the top of the scroll bar (as indicated in the blue arrow)
Notice how Microsoft Excel moved the view of the worksheet quickly back to the top.
Now, let’s try to zoom out by clicking on the middle of the zoom bar SLIDER
Excellent! Now, we zoomed out and the Zoom Bar is at 100% of the actual size of the screen. Let’s zoom in again. Please click on the right end side of the zoom bar SLIDER
Now, Microsoft Excel returned to the 400% Zoom. Well done! You have successfully learned how to move around in a worksheet. Click on the NEXT button to continue
